Good deal for internet

I was looking for a good internet-only deal and found the starter internet plan with an introductory rate. The price was competitive, and I liked that they offered free professional installation, which saved me some money right off the bat. It felt like a solid value for what I'm getting. Glad I looked around.

Smooth setup, good support

I recently switched to Cox for their preferred internet plan and also bundled in their Contour TV. Ordering online was straightforward, and I opted for the self-installation kit for the internet, which arrived in about 4 days. Setting up the internet was simple enough with the instructions provided. The TV box needed professional installation, but the technician was on time and got everything working quickly. I had a quick question about my bill a week later and called their customer service. The wait wasn't too long, and the representative was helpful in clarifying the charges. The internet speeds have been consistent, and the TV channels are good. So far, a positive experience overall.

Fast internet, great service

I just signed up for gigabit internet and it's amazing! The speeds are incredible, everything loads instantly. The self-installation kit was super easy to use, I had it all set up in minutes. I'm so happy with this service and will definitely recommend Cox to my friends and family!

Thinking of switching to Cox internet, but heard some providers are super strict with data. Anyone know if Cox has data caps on their internet plans?

C Colin 3 months ago
Yeah, they do have data caps, unfortunately. Most plans are 1.25 TB per month.

It depends on your plan! Some of the higher-tier ones, especially fiber, might not have them. But for basic cable internet, expect a cap. You can usually check your usage online though.

Trying to get internet set up for my apartment. Is it worth paying for professional installation or is the self-install kit pretty straightforward for Cox?

J James G. 2 months ago
Self-install is usually super easy if your place is already wired up. Just plug things in and follow the instructions.

I'd say if you're not super techy or if it's an old building, pro install might save you some headaches. But for most newer places, self-install is fine and saves you money.
